Do's, Don'ts & Motivation

Dieting Do's and Don'ts to make sure you stay motivated:

Dieting tips to increase your motivation and help you lose weight. Don't make the dieting mistake that can derail your motivation.

Dieting DON'Ts

1. Don't starve yourself and think you're dieting. This behavior never works and leads to binge eating and a loss of motivation.

2. Don't take dieting supplements. Diet pills and herbs are a total waste of money. There is no scientific evidence that these products produce significant weight loss, yet millions are spent each year on these products out of desperation.

3. Don't skip breakfast to cut calories. This is the number 1 mistake when dieting. Your body needs the nourishment in the morning to function properly and you'll find your motivation to lose weight increases a lot when you don't allow yourself to become too hungry.

Dieting DO's

1. Plan 3 to 5 meals per day starting with breakfast.

2. Write down exactly what you plan to eat. Now you have created your own dieting plan.

3. Cut portion size by one-third. This way you easily cut the calorie intake.

4. Walk for 30 minutes a day, 4 times per week.

5. Have one fun day of eating every 7 to 10 days where dieting is not the priority but be reasonable. In other words, eat liberally but don't binge.
